象徴的な瞬間。「God Bless América」と言って南アメリカ・中央アメリカ・北アメリカの全ての国を順番に述べていく。私たち以外のこの半球では「アメリカ」とはアメリカ合衆国だけを指すものではない。みーーーんな全員のことである

実際、ネット上でアメリカ合衆国を指して「アメリカ」と言うアメリカ人につっかかる南アメリカ等の人という構図をしばしば目撃する。（自戒を込めて）アメリカ人のアメリカ中心主義みたいな考え方は本当によくないと思うし、彼らが正しいと思う。しかしアメリカ英語と日本語では「アメリカ」は実際アメリカ合衆国を指してしまっているので、せめて英語では気をつけるように心がけるようにしようとしているけれども正直非常に難しい。頑張ります。
